At Fudan University, I visited the group of Theoretical
Computer Science. Prof. "L"udolf Fleische"l" (to the right)
and his very friendly colleague Prof. Honglin Zhu (left) were
my hosts.
An der Fudan-Universität waren in der Theoretischen
Informatik Prof. "L"udolf Fleische"l" (rechts) und sein sehr
freundlicher Kollege Prof. Honglin Zhu (links) meine Gastgeber.
One of my greatest moments in Shanghai was to meet
in person Prof. Dr. Ingo Rechenberg. He is founder of
the "Evolutionary Strategies" field
in optimization. Normally TU Berlin is his working place,
but he is also a regular guest in Shanghai.
Einer der grössten Momente in Shanghai war für
mich das persönliche Kennenlernen von Prof. Dr. Ingo
Rechenberg, dem Begründer der Evolutions-Strategien
in der Optimierung. Eigentlich arbeitet er an der TU Berlin,
ist aber regelmässig auch in Shanghai.
The nice planar graph in this picture was found by Rechenberg
with the help of evolutionary algorithms.
Den planaren Graphen im Bild hat Rechenberg mit
Hilfe von Evolutions-Algorithmen gefunden.
