EinStein wurfelt nicht
XXL Version with Black Hole

Ingo Althofer --- March 5, 2010

We assume that the reader is familiar with the standard rules of "EinStein wurfelt nicht" (Ewn). He should also understand that a piece which jumps into a black hole, is away forever.

Ewn-XXL is played on a board with 7x5 squares, with a black hole in the center. Each player has eleven pieces: two for each number from 2 to 6, a single one with number 1. All rules of Ewn (with black hole) apply. Red is winner when one of his pieces reaches the corner square in the lower right. Blue is winner when one of his pieces reaches the corner square in the upper left. The gully cap in the center represents the black hole.

This game is published by Kosmos Verlag in Germany, in the small Kosmos box. However...

... the title is not something with Ewn but "Torjäger". This is German and means "goal hunter" in English. The game is a realization of my prototype "dice soccer".

The game board is two-sided. Torjäger can be played either (politically correct) on green ground, or on grey asphalt. At the sides you see counting lanes for "best of five".

The pieces also have different colours on front side and back side. In total, four teams are included: Germany, Turkey, Italy, Brasil.

You can also play "normal" Ewn (with or without black hole) on the grey side.

In early summer of 2010 the game will be available in most German super markets. The standard price in Germany will be about 6 Euro.
